I hope you are enjoying learning at home.
Last time, we met an amazing orchestra of young musicians from Venezuela in South America.
It was very clear that they really enjoy playing their instruments and being part of an orchestra.
Do you remember the piece they played in the video?
Please click on the picture to have another look at the Simon Bolivar Orchestra's performance
if you'd like to see it again:
Today we are going to watch and listen to a funny video which draws us cartoons
of lots of instruments one by one - how they look and how they sound.
Can you guess what they are before they are finished?

Activity
There were a lot of instruments in that video! How many can you name?
Please have a look at the worksheet and write down as many instrument
names as you can. Please ask your grown ups to help you.
Please click on the box below for the worksheet:
I am looking forward to seeing your answers. Please send your work to your class
teacher in the usual way - a scan or a photo is fine.
Thank you very much for working so hard on this, I hope you enjoyed learning
about all of the many instruments in the video. We will learn more next time.
See you soon.

"I found it very interesting and I thought that children learned about rhythm, by using body percussion without even realising that they were in a lesson, because it was so much fun for them!"
"I would highly recommend it!"
"I thought the song was lovely - there was a nice mix of playing the bowls, clapping, singing and actions. The whole idea of kitchen percussion is a brilliant one for lockdown but good in usual times too."
"The level of what you did/taught was perfect for their age and similar to things they do at school."
"The children all thoroughly enjoyed the session and were engaged throughout. They enjoyed having the opportunity to hold their own ukulele and learn to play along to some simple songs."
"The session was delivered brilliantly and the different stages were broken down into small sections to allow all children to participate."
